[08:17] {Threei} no
[08:18] {BillyD} nice daily PMCS
[08:20] {BillyD} again Vad, very good detailed explanation on aggressive entries
[08:20] {BillyD} reason behind them
[08:22] {Threei} ty
[08:29] {BillyD} NCST trying to set it seems....will take some very good volume imo
[08:40] {Threei} look at NVDA
[08:44] * BillyD passes Vad a tissue
[08:45] {Threei} thank you
[08:45] {BillyD} it's not fair
[08:46] {BillyD} the greatest paradigm shift for any trader is accepting this
[08:46] {BillyD} well...one of the greatest
[08:58] {esemde} I figure,,,,,the day can only go up from here....maybe?
[08:58] {Threei} hmmm
[08:59] {BillyD} that is what I tried w/ MDCO in at 18.59..out .47

[09:16] {BillyD} I got a small one out of MDCO from .16 to .38
[09:17] {esemde} gj Billy
[09:17] {BillyD} thx ese...stop earlier on it
[09:19] {esemde} looking at GOOG, man you have to have alot of cash to play something like tha
[09:20] {BillyD} not sure it's the cash ese
[09:20] {esemde} close at $548.00 open at $511.00
[09:20] {BillyD} was 5.03 area AH yesterday
[09:20] {BillyD} 503
[09:20] {esemde} 1000 shs...37,000.00 dollar loss right off the bat
[09:22] {BillyD} to some that is nothing in the grand sheme of things...part of doing business
[09:23] {esemde} I guess huh.....
[09:23] {BillyD} yeah, it's all relative...way out of my league
[09:23] {esemde} me as well..
[09:38] {DaveG} .
[09:38] {Threei} POSH
[09:38] {Threei} lousy volume...
[09:38] {esemde} FMCN has agreat looking HAMMER on the daily chart....
[09:39] {esemde} looking good on a 1 min chart also
[09:41] {BillyD} NCST trying
[09:48] {esemde} SCMR monitoring....don't know if it has enough energy to push higher
[09:51] {esemde} bbby taking a shot at the highs
[09:51] {Threei} SCMR is way too narrow for my taste
[09:55] {Threei} NCST
[09:58] {esemde} that looks good
[10:03] {cosmo} gee... its a summer friday.... and its lunch time ....tell NCST
[10:03] {BillyD} yeah...I thought it was close to 4pm EST
[10:04] {cosmo} maybe in the Atlantic
[10:05] {cosmo} there seems to be one of these every day now
[10:06] {BillyD} thank goodness
[10:07] {BillyD} we would all fall asleep
[10:07] {cosmo} sleep is good
[10:07] {esemde} NCST up 130% whoaa!
[10:08] {Threei} most of it in the gap though
[10:13] {esemde} and once again, no follow through
[10:14] {BillyD} it seems good on pullbacks ese
[10:14] {BillyD} then again most do to me at least
[10:14] {BillyD} especially lately
[10:14] {BillyD} ese...have you read vad's latest blog post
[10:15] {esemde} no.....
[10:15] {esemde} what the topic
[10:16] {BillyD} please do....on advantages/disadvantages of aggressive entries or more importantl entries overall
[10:16] {esemde} will dofor sure...
[10:17] {BillyD} helps asses risk for personal levels
[10:18] {Threei} why do I expect the world to read that blog when people in this room don't... :)
[10:19] {BillyD} I even signed up for feed
[10:20] {BillyD} search engines should pick it up vad
[10:20] {Threei} they do
[10:20] {BillyD} yes
[10:20] {Threei} assignment for the weekend to all room members: go out, find 3 traders and make them read the blog
[10:20] {Threei} your reward is not getting trouted on Monday
[10:22] {Threei} except Dave
[10:22] {BillyD} go here Vad
[10:22] {BillyD} http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGIC%2CGGIC%3A2006-49%2CGGIC%3Aen&q=aggressive+trade+entries+vad
[10:22] {Threei} who is getting trouted no matter what
[10:22] {BillyD} too funny
[10:23] {BillyD} under Andrea diary
[10:23] {Threei} what's that?
[10:23] {esemde} hey...wait a minute.....I just read it....
[10:23] {BillyD} did you go to link
[10:24] {Threei} This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.
[10:24] {BillyD} Google search
[10:24] {Threei} http://thaliaandreasde.wordpress.com/
[10:24] {Threei} this is where it takes me
[10:24] {BillyD} taht I don't know but...it was something we were discussing
[10:24] {esemde} but i've read Vads book Techniques of tape reading twice and i believe those topics are covered around pages 110 or so.
[10:25] {BillyD} it doesn't take you to google??
[10:25] {Threei} I mean andrea diary link
[10:25] {esemde} Andrea......????? is there a picture
[10:25] {BillyD} I see....just showing the search engines picking up your blog
[10:26] {Threei} yes
[10:26] {esemde} aaannnnnddd?.......
[10:26] {BillyD} and our nicks under the Andrea link
[10:26] {BillyD} kinda of funny
[10:26] {BillyD} no pic ese
[10:27] {esemde} too bad.....
[10:27] {esemde} had my curiosity going....
[10:32] {esemde} AVCI...
[10:32] {BillyD} watching it
[10:35] {esemde} just glanced at NCST ...picking up steam...again
[10:35] {BillyD} I was slow on the .20 break
[10:35] {esemde} i missed it
[10:36] {Roman} OBCI high
[10:42] {esemde} all the selling must be done on GOOG and CAT
[10:55] {DaveG} ok, there's 3 daves here now
[10:55] {DaveG} aapl
[10:59] {esemde} NCST up 160%....man
[11:00] {Threei} one opf those... buy and faint for a few hours
[11:01] {BillyD} anyone disconnect Laser executor
[11:01] {Threei} yes
[11:01] * Threei slaps LaserDave around a bit with a large trout
[11:01] {BillyD} ty
[11:01] {esemde} is anyone in NCST....
[11:01] {BillyD} not here
[11:01] {Threei} I wish
[11:02] {esemde} Your self control Vad is impressive...you've probably seen a ton of these but you stick to your guns
[11:03] {Threei} for some of them you get a feel of imminent run-up
[11:03] {Threei} remember HOKU a week or so ago
[11:03] {esemde} yes
[11:03] {Threei} where I was very confident of it going to 14
[11:03] {esemde} yes
[11:03] {Threei} with this one, I just couldn't get any feel
[11:03] {Threei} it was not trading with that "foam at its mouth"
[11:04] {Threei} no change in pace as it went down or up
[11:04] {Threei} it's pace that gives you this feel
[11:04] {esemde} true
[11:04] {Threei} and NCST was just like a piece of crap floating up and down
[11:05] {Threei} so discipline simply comes to "trade what you can read"
[11:05] {Threei} and yes, discipline sometimes leaves with out in the cold while a stock moves big
[11:06] {esemde} It does take alot of self control to stay out though.
[11:06] {Threei} matter of experience... which is troubles you got yourself into and learned to stay away from
[11:07] {esemde} yes indeed....i still have some learning to do
[11:08] {Threei} here is the biggest trap market sets up for you:
[11:08] {Threei} RANDOM REINFORCEMENT
[11:09] {Threei} if you can tolerate little educational rant on such day, allow me 3 minutes on this
[11:09] {esemde} you bettcha
[11:09] {Threei} we are conditioned to learn in a more straightforward way
[11:09] {Threei} meaning, correct behavior is getting rewarded
[11:09] {Threei} and mistakes get punished.
[11:10] {esemde} yes
[11:10] {Threei} This way we acquire knowledge of what is correct and what constitutes mistake.
[11:10] {Threei} In market however it's not that simple.
[11:10] {Threei} It has a way of sometimes rewarding mistakes
[11:10] {esemde} true
[11:10] {Threei} and punishing for correct behaviour
[11:10] {Threei} Blow your stop,
[11:11] {Threei} decide to hold your position no mater what,
[11:11] {Threei} does it always mean you get detroyed?
[11:11] {Threei} Not necessary in some particular case.
[11:11] {Threei} You may get rewarded for this
[11:11] {Threei} as stock recovers making you whole.
[11:12] {Threei} Rewarding this mistake, market lures you into repeating it
[11:12] {esemde} definately
[11:12] {Threei} . Buy a stock at the spike
[11:12] {Threei} into vertical part of the chart
[11:12] {Threei} and you may get lucky as it proceeds even higher,
[11:13] {Threei} again, mistake is getting rewarded.
[11:13] {cosmo} gee...NCST wants 200%
[11:13] {Threei} Do the right thing, take tyour stop,
[11:13] {Threei} and watch stock reversing and proceeding to breakeven and higher
[11:13] {Threei} Correct behaviour is getting punished.
[11:13] {esemde} yes indeed
[11:13] {cosmo} born to suffer
[11:14] {Threei} Market luring you into abandoning the right way to act.
[11:14] {esemde} been there
[11:14] {Threei} If you get into especially bad period
[11:14] {Threei} kind of what we have right now
[11:14] {esemde} yes
[11:14] {Threei} where this kind of market reactions get repeated several times in a riow,
[11:15] {Threei} and temptation to abandon your rules may overtake common sense
[11:15] {esemde} can wipe you out
[11:15] {Threei} Next thing you know, odds take over
[11:16] {Threei} string of losses and missed profits turns out to be a cluster
[11:16] {Threei} (distribution of those things is not even, it can be clusteted)
[11:16] {Threei} and as cluster ends, you get back into normal market mode
[11:17] {Threei} but with acquired and reinforced bad habits
[11:17] {Threei} Next thing we hear from a trader who acts like this is,
[11:17] {Threei} no matter what I do, market finds the way to get me
[11:17] {Threei} I bet you heard this zillion times
[11:17] {Threei} and most likely thought it yourself at times
[11:17] {esemde} yes
[11:18] {Threei} I sure had, both
[11:18] {Threei} so what is poor peasan to do?
[11:18] {esemde} follow rules
[11:18] {Threei} 1. understand this random reinforcement thing
[11:18] {Threei} 2. follow rules
[11:18] {Threei} as frustrating as being punished for following them can be at times,
[11:19] {Threei} it will be rewarded in a,long run
[11:19] {DaveG} the long run
[11:19] {cosmo} when you short at just the right time?
[11:19] {BillyD} ty dave
[11:19] {Threei} comromise dave?
[11:19] {Threei} a long the run?
[11:19] {DaveG} :)
[11:19] {Roman} LUNA out of control
[11:20] {esemde} witty...
[11:21] {esemde} thanks Vad
[11:21] {Threei} always
[11:33] {Roman} SCOX pop
[11:47] {Roman} NWRE pop
[11:48] {esemde} i was disconnected for a few minutes
[11:51] {Threei} not like you missed a lot
[11:52] {Roman} LUNA
[11:53] {Roman} bouncer
[11:54] {Roman} NCST loosing 6
[11:54] {BillyD} NCST jumps by .15 which makes it difficult
[11:56] {Threei} closing your eyes helps
[11:58] {Threei} esemde, look dcc please
[12:00] {Roman} in LUNA 5 small
[12:08] {Roman} out LUNA
[12:09] {Roman} -.04
[12:20] {esemde} out NHWK .73 +.25
[12:20] {Threei} nice
[12:20] {Threei} esemde, look dcc please
[12:20] {BillyD} wtg ese
[12:28] {BillyD} just scalped NCST short for .20...
[12:28] {BillyD} couldn't post had to focus
[12:29] {BillyD} kleenex
[12:32] {Threei} lol
[12:33] {Threei} with such rate you are going to go through boxes of the stuff in a month
[12:33] {BillyD} I was finding myself chasing to caiver last little bit
[12:33] {BillyD} cover
[12:33] {DaveG} have a great weekend gang
[12:33] {Threei} bye dave
[12:33] {lklarson} u2 dave
[12:33] {BillyD} cya dave
[12:34] {BillyD} got to let the house money ride a tad bit longer
[12:34] {Threei} imagine someone frustrated by missing NCST, looking at LUNA spike, thinking "here is my chance to catch one of those runners" and buying closer to 6
[12:34] {BillyD} got caught in emotions for a moment
[12:35] {BillyD} been there many times Vad
[12:35] {BillyD} greed
[12:35] {BillyD} fear of loss
[12:35] {BillyD} there is always another trade around the corner
[12:37] {BillyD} Vad..I read Elder...Trading for Living...great book and he is also from Russia
[12:37] {BillyD} he is pretty direct
[12:38] {Threei} it has good bits and pieces, especially on psychology part
[12:38] {BillyD} yes
[12:38] {Threei} but the trading system itself, I wasn't terribly impresssed
[12:38] {Threei} although it doesn't really matter
[12:38] {BillyD} is that separate book
[12:38] {Threei} no, one described in it, three screens thing
[12:39] {Threei} anyway, not something to trip over, good book
[12:39] {Threei} system is sytem, each works out his own anyway
[12:40] {BillyD} true...I never read that part
[12:40] {Threei} if you focussed on general approach and psychology, you got the most valuable part of the book
[12:42] {BillyD} a friend gave me a huge box of trading books
[12:43] {BillyD} I threw out all the ones that had nothing to do with Psychology and approach
[12:43] {BillyD} which was most of them with Wade Cook being the most thrown out
[12:44] {Threei} oh lol
[12:44] {BillyD} and only read Psychology parts
[12:44] {Threei} there are good ones out there
[12:44] {BillyD} most solid books say same thing
[12:44] {Threei} zen in the market
[12:44] {Threei} trading in the zone
[12:44] {BillyD} no to zen
[12:45] {Threei} but mine is da best
[12:45] {BillyD} Ari Kiev...Trading in the Zone
[12:46] {Threei} ummm
[12:46] {BillyD} he pushes traders to take neccessary risks
[12:46] {BillyD} different from Douglas]
[12:46] {Threei} I refered to same title by douglas
[12:46] {Threei} kiev, I don't know
[12:46] {Threei} didn't resonate with me
[12:47] {BillyD} pretty good book
[12:48] {BillyD} anyway....the readings have helped my paradigm to change
[12:48] {BillyD} and now all you said for past ten yrs makes sense to me
[12:48] {BillyD} it wasn't a waste
[12:48] {BillyD} lol
[12:49] {BillyD} you can now enjoy weekend knowing you made a difference
[12:49] {Threei} lol
[12:50] {Threei} whew
[12:50] {Threei} that's a relief
[12:50] {BillyD} some of us just have thicker skulls than others
[12:50] {BillyD} you are a persistent pounder
[12:50] {BillyD} hehe
[12:51] {Threei} and I ewnjoy challenge
[12:51] {Threei} -w
[12:51] {BillyD} teaching this skill has to be at the top of challenges and patience
[12:52] {Threei} nah... you colect several pre-canned mesages, then spit them out as you see fit
[12:52] {BillyD} I see....detached observer approach
[12:53] {Threei} and if you picked wrong one for the topic diascussed, you persist and convince a listener that tyou still make sense, it's just he who doesn't see it
[12:53] {BillyD} lol
[12:53] {Threei} sometimes it helps to wake up during discussion
[12:53] {Threei} but it's not a requirement
[12:53] {BillyD} why not...they are lost anyway
[12:54] {Threei} sheesh... and all this goes into log and is availabe for reading by anyone
[12:54] {Threei} good thing noone reads those, lol
[12:54] {BillyD} I read some of them
[12:54] {Threei} I can see someone posting in a trading forum something like "trading coach confessions"
[12:55] {BillyD} lol
[12:55] {Threei} "snake oil revealed"
[12:55] {BillyD} yaeh...and this "Dave guy keeps getting trouted"
[12:56] {Threei} OK guys, obviously not the best week on memory
[12:56] {BillyD} forgetfulness ablessing
[12:56] {Threei} let's try to trade being awake next week
[12:56] {Threei} maybe it works
[12:56] {BillyD} cya and have a good one
[12:56] {Threei} have a good weekend, see you on Monday
