Mon Mar 01 2010

The day started with two rinses, on VVUS and AIG. Then very nice string of ARBA long for 20 cents, FCX long for 40 cents, VXX short, TM short and AIG long took us solidly in black. Couple calls after that were made discretionary (with strong odds of being rinsed, only for those who really wanted then), and both did get rinsed for 5 and 10 cents. Pattern of profits being concentrated in the first hour or two, with market frozen after that continues.

Session Time: Mon Mar 01 00:00:00 2010

[15:15] {Threei} - The German and French Finance Ministries have developed a draft plan that would significantly strengthen financial policy cooperation in the EU. The plan calls for increased monitoring of individual member states' competitiveness so that action can be taken early on should problems emerge.
[15:15] {Threei} - States which have pegged their currencies to the euro -- like Denmark or the Baltic countries -- will likewise be monitored.
[15:15] {Threei} - The plan also calls for the European Commission to ensure that the euro group spends more time addressing the finances of its member states. In particular, the paper demands that euro group finance ministers "take more time for candid and serious discussions on the goal of a functioning currency union."
