We have shown a lot of great setups resolving in profits. Well, sometimes
losing trade is even more useful for educational purposes, and today's one
is exactly this. Below are two charts: intraday 1 min and daily. Both have
resistance at 81 as long trigger: nice consolidation, break of the range -
all in all, perfect setup. A bit too perfect, as turned out. Probably it was
too obvious to work, but this kind of breaks in multiple time frames works
spectacularly more often than not.
A trade triggered by breaking $81 and fizzled out after advancing just 8
cents. Stop was hit for 17 cents less, and CAT proceeded lowr to 80.50
before bouncing.. What a trader to do? take a loss, shrug, move on. Next bus
is around the corner.
