June 3 2013

Morning started well but the turned a bot sour as market resumed our least favorable environment, slow climb. A few rinses too many, then a few good trades including 1:3er trimmed the loss but still ended in red.

(Apologies for the garbled log, not sure what gives)

01[12:10] <&Threei}  ?
[12:10]
[12:11]
01[12:11] <&Threei}  hold on, so I follow:
01[12:11] <&Threei}  the price of first entry?
01[12:11] <&Threei}  and time
[12:11]
[12:12]
[12:12]
[12:12]
[12:12]
[12:12]
[12:12]
[12:12]
01[12:13] <&Threei}  OK, one modification:
01[12:13] <&Threei}  perfect way to play this kind is to buy recross of a stop level
01[12:13] <&Threei}  as in:
01[12:13] <&Threei}  .50 entry would have been stopped under .40,
[12:13]
01[12:13] <&Threei}  rinse and run of the stops leads to an exit rush,
01[12:14] <&Threei}  usually it asppears ina form of a tail if things happen within 1 min,
01[12:14] <&Threei}  and if .30 is holding, then .40 recross is where you want to be in
[12:14]
01[12:14] <&Threei}  This way you have:
01[12:14] <&Threei}  .30 as your new stop, under the low of the tail,
01[12:15] <&Threei}  .50, previous trigger as a first partial, which puts you in a very safe territory,
01[12:15] <&Threei}  rush of new buyers which is likelyto take you to 1:2 for you whivch is 1:1 for them
[12:15]
[12:15]
[12:16]
01[12:16] <&Threei}  and one more thing it gives you:
01[12:16] <&Threei}  moral satisfaction of being on a smart money side, as you use rinseds tops instead of being rinsed
01[12:16] <&Threei}  well, this is a mix
01[12:16] <&Threei}  pure aggressive is buying before the break
01[12:17] <&Threei}  conservative is buying on a pullback to a break level
01[12:17] <&Threei}  this is something else, that has some traits of both
[12:17]
01[12:17] <&Threei}  I call it DKTK setip
01[12:17] <&Threei}  Don't Kid The Kidder\
[12:18]
[12:18]
01[12:18] <&Threei}  it's a beaty is all regards but one:
01[12:18] <&Threei}  you never know in advance when it's time to switch to it, you come to it only after seeing a few rinses
[12:19]
[12:20]
01[12:21] <&Threei}  (CY) Fitch lowers Cyprus rating one notch to B- from B
01[12:21] <&Threei}  seriously? thwere is soemthing left to downgrade there?
[12:23]
01[12:28] <&Threei}  jd... so I get your classification... Would FCX count as a son of a goat having full set of paernts?
[12:29]
01[12:29] <&Threei}  OK, I think I start getting a hand of it
[12:29]
01[12:29] <&Threei}  lol
[12:30]
01[12:31] <&Threei}  ahha, more nuances

01[12:41] <&Threei}  yes
01[12:41] <&Threei}  so, born out of wedlock, but parents stay in touch and contribute to his raising?
[12:42]
01[12:42] <&Threei}  OK... writing that down
[12:43]
01[12:47] <&Threei}  let's see if we can get it on a pullback
[12:47]
01[12:47] <&Threei}  that I'd dare, pure break - not so much
[12:47]
01[12:48] <&Threei}  yup
01[12:48] <&Threei}  sharp drop toward .40 would be ideal
[12:48]
[12:48]
01[12:48] <&Threei}  well... try to wear duck helmet
[12:49]
[12:55]
01[12:56] <&Threei} Long Setup:  FAS  .20 break
01[12:56] <&Threei}  If holds  .10
01[12:56] <&Threei}  that was fast 1:1
01[12:57] <&Threei}  anyone got it?
[12:57]
[12:57]
01[12:57] <&Threei}  hmm?

[13:00]
01[13:00] <&Threei}  :(
01[13:01] <&Threei}  anyway, look at the description of DKTK setup, and this chart... perfect match
[13:01]
[13:01]
[13:02]
01[13:02] <&Threei}  sp why not buy .30 break on a rinse?
01[13:02] <&Threei}  since we established today is that kind of a day

01[13:07] <&Threei}  I see now setup whatsoever
01[13:07] <&Threei}  now = no
[13:08]
01[13:09] <&Threei}  if you can't name setup, it's not there. Don't trade on these generalities
01[13:09] <&Threei}  what you list is criteria for looking at it as a candidate
01[13:10] <&Threei}  candidate differs from actual trade by valid setup
