[09:01] {_ebelog} I have a question about position sizing, I am trading with 100k I understand that the fine tuning of the position depends on liquidity of stock and I would guess its beta, but is 10% a good starting trade amount per trade as a general rule, thanks

[09:01] {Threei}  general rule is:
[09:02] {Threei}  do not lose on any single trade more than 1-2% of your trading capital
[09:02] {Threei}  so, knowing your stop sizxe dictated by the chart,

[09:02] {Threei}  you come to your position size.
[09:02] {Threei}  To cite an example:
[09:02] {Threei}  if your capital is 100K,
[09:03] {Threei}  1% loss on any given trade gives you 1K loss
[09:03] {Threei}  stop size as dictated by chart is, say 20 cents
[09:03] {Threei}  by looking at the level 2 you see slippage as 5 cents,
[09:04] {Threei}  to lose 1K on 25 cents stop, you get your position size as 4K
[09:04] {Threei}  Now, that can be a bit too much
[09:04] {Threei}  as there is also commissions
[09:05] {Threei}  and liquidity with such lot can not be enough for 5 cents slippage
[09:05] {Threei}  so cut it some more, especially at the first stages of learning
